About

I am a Vocal Performance music major at the University of North Texas. I am an extremely hard worker and probably push myself too hard sometimes, but I also love to go watch movies or do outdoor activities! I started college at Abilene Christian University and then transferred to UNT. I plan to get a Master's Degree and then perform and teach voice lessons. I love singing any chance I can get whether it is for the parish at UNT on Saturday Night's or the Greater Denton Arts Council. I also can play the piano and basic guitar/ukulele! I have gone abroad twice already: once as a member of the choir of a tour group called Sound of America Honor Band and Chorus in 2011 and the other with ACU Opera in 2014. I am headed to study abroad in France for the spring 2016 and will come out with a minor in French.

Goals and interests

Career goal

A career in performance and teaching private lessons is my goal right now. I am mostly interested in opera performance and teaching collegiate voice lessons or lessons to high school students. I am not sure my path could lead me to something else in music, because I could easily decide to get a master's in conducting or music theory and then teach or perform.
