About
I am currently a graduate student at Northeastern Illinois University, working toward my Master of Arts in Human Resources Development. I finished my undergrad degree, graduating in 2008 from NEIU's nontraditional degree program.
I have many years of experience in nonprofit management, most of that experiencing serving adults with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential setting. For the last ten years, I was offered the opportunity to take on the executive role of Vice President of Human Resources which has since evolved into a much more robust leadership position with many responsibilities for overall organizational operations.
I returned to school after a 12-year hiatus because I love to learn and I am always interested in the possibility of opening new doors and creating new opportunities for myself.

I am interested in continuing in an organizational leadership role and potentially offering my services as a consultant to companies in the areas of Strategic Planning and Succession Planning.

I have always had a strong propensity toward social justice and human rights. I am by nature an advocate of vulnerable people and populations. I enjoy reading biographies, particular regarding human behavior. Diversity and generational differences are of great interest to me as is history in general.
I love animals, and enjoy spending time with my three dogs.
I have a passion for vintage fashion and have a large collection of clothing and shoes, including original vintage and reproduction.
My husband and I own a Victorian home built in 1889 and we are working on restoring it using a combination of reproductions and antiques.
