About

I am an enthusiastic engineering student continuously looking for new challenges and interesting projects to work on. I love working with the latest technologies and can quickly learn how to operate new tools. I am always willing to learn new skills and improve the ones I already have. I like to get truly involved with design and test teams, and I strive to investigate and learn everything that is necessary to deliver the best results in my job.

I have experience with CAD modeling software like SolidWorks, as well as circuit design suites such as NI Multisim and Proteus. I’ve worked with some capabilities of programs like Scilab and Matlab, and I’m able to understand and do programming with C, C++ and Java languages. I’ve also worked with PCB programs for CNC circuit printing like Eagle Layout Editor. I designed, from the ground up, the new wiring harness for the 2015 racing prototype for the Formula SAE UCV Team. There, I worked with a Performance Electronics ECU (PE3), reading data from a lamda sensor, hall-effect sensors, among others. I also have experience with computer hardware installation, such as PC building and troubleshooting, basic routers installation and computer wiring.

I consider myself a very self-driven person, but also a team-worker. This has given me the opportunity to stand out in multidisciplinary teams I’ve been involved in. This was especially true at the Formula SAE UCV team, where thanks to my abilities to design and manufacture electronic components, work with and troubleshoot electrical systems, organize the workflow, communicate and collaborate with other working teams of the project, I obtained the leading position for the electrical-electronics design and build team on my first year of being in the team. I moved to the United States after the 2015 Formula SAE competition, and since then, I’ve been helping as a long distance advisor for the design of the 2016 prototype components and the workflow of the electrical and electronics team for this new season.

Another example of my ability to work as part of a team was during my work experience at Apple Inc. I had a great time working with a large group of very efficient people that had great problem solving skills. We all worked as a team to make sure the outcome of our project was exceptional. We used multiple complex software tools to troubleshoot and edit data within the Maps applications of the company, collaborating with other engineering and editing teams aiming to develop the most overall complete and premium experience currently available.

I always give my best in my job and do as much as I can to help others. I work even harder when the result of our job is part of a larger project because I believe in the saying “our chain is as strong as our weakest link.”

Finally, I am very comfortable with multi-cultural working situations. My native language is Spanish, but I am also fluent in both Italian and English, with excellent communication skills both written and spoken.

Goals and interests

Outside the classroom

I am a consumer technology lover and a car enthusiast! I really enjoy to help people with any issues that they might have in any of these two fields and I love to be involved in engineering projects that can be related to them. If you can't find me and I'm not studying, look for me at the garage!
