I am currently studying psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington. I was raised and born in Texas moving to Waxahachie at the age of 7 from El Paso. Being born in a religious household I have always been volunteering since a young age. My parents came from humble beginning so I have been shown how to really know the value of things. I am the only boy in the scope of 3 siblings, so it can be quite hard to relate to my sisters. Nonetheless, my family has always supported me and continues to show their love. Growing up I was involved in sports and high level courses, it has always been fun to take a small challenge. I am absolutely in love with the human mind and how it works. In my junior year of high school I began to pick up running later to become and all regionals runner. Running changed the way I perceive the world, the thoughts I had on those mile runs made me wonder of all the things I seemed to over look in my every day life. The more I moved forward the more the world was revealed to me. I joined my cross country team where I found individuals who shared my love for the mind. The more I fell in love how people thought I began to feel compassion for those who are troubled. Since then I have dedicated myself to the field of psychology, later pursuing a career in psychiatry after obtaining an M.D at UT Southwestern Medical School.
