About

I am a motivated Mother of Two who took the long way around with my education. I had a great deal of maturing, healing, and self discovery in order to discover how I learn best and how to thrive. This has taught me perseverance and has given me a drive to succeed and get my education to help others take the peaceful path to healing. My journey lead to me discovering that I want to be a Clinical Psychologist to help others heal and improve themselves.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My dream job would be to help disabled veterans like my husband as a Liscensed Clinical Psychologist at the Veteran's Health Administration. Everyone deserves access to quality mental health services in a timely manner.

Graduate school interests

For Grad School, I would like to switch from Social Work to Psychology and pursue my doctorate from there. I strongly believe that a multidisciplinary background would give me an advantage as a psychologist. I would have a better understanding of a person's environment affecting their wellbeing from a societal standpoint and the medical model of mental health.
