About

My name is Miranda Soliz and I am a Nursing student at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I was born and raised here in Corpus Christi, with my mother and stepfather. My mom is a nurse and my stepfather is a physician, which has lead me to down the path of becoming a nurse and a leader. I was apart of Voices that Care, which is an non profit organization that helped organized events for people in need. I did many volunteer hours at my high school organizing and leading the freshman, sophomore, and junior retreats. Helping people is so rewarding, and satisfying. The Health Careers Club was my favorite. We actually had a chance to shadow different medical professions at work. I learned a lot in this Club. One has to have the patience, understanding, and empathy in this career choice, and its a constant field of learning. I often shadowed my mom and stepfather at work, and look forward to be able to do this type of work on my own.
