Goals and interests

Career goal

My long-term goal is to pursue a Ph.D. in forensic psychology, with a focus on research that addresses the intersection of mental health and the criminal justice system. I am particularly interested in studying the systemic factors that contribute to criminal behavior, as well as effective, evidence-based interventions for underserved populations. Whether through academic research or applied work in the field, I aim to contribute to solutions that prioritize treatment, prevention, and equity over punishment. My ultimate objective is to help reshape policies and practices to better serve individuals who are too often overlooked or underserved by traditional systems.

Graduate school interests

I intend to pursue graduate studies either through the Master of Science in Forensic Psychology program at Arizona State University or the Master of Science in Victim Services Management program at Sam Houston State University. Both programs align closely with my academic interests and long-term goals, offering the opportunity to deepen my understanding of the psychological impact of crime and the systemic response to victimization. My aim is to build a strong foundation for future doctoral work while gaining the specialized knowledge and practical skills needed to support underserved and vulnerable populations more effectively.
