About
I am a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience in diverse urban schools, passionate about creating opportunities for underserved children. Since beginning my teaching journey in 2013, I've embraced various roles—from special education coordinator to after-school tutor—focusing on empowering every student regardless of their background. As a mother of a creative four-year-old, I am committed to culturally responsive teaching and believe in the importance of a safe, well-rounded education.
Driven by my goal to open a fine arts charter school, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration at Columbia University. This program aligns with my values of social justice and culturally responsive leadership, providing the skills necessary to advocate for equitable education. I am excited about the journey ahead as I seek to lead transformative changes in the educational system.
