About

My name is Morgan Springborn and I'm from Muskogee, Oklahoma. I graduated from Muskogee High School. I continued my education at Upper Iowa University for a semester before transferring to Harding University. During my time at Harding, I was a member of the Women's Soccer team. I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Harding University. I graduated from the University of Western States with my Master's Degree in Sport and Performance Psychology with a focus on Positive Coaching. I am currently a student at the University of Oklahoma where I am pursuing a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am also employed as a member of the PACT team (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) at Family and Children’s Services. I work with a variety of clients who come from different backgrounds and have mild to severe mental health diagnoses. I provide rehabilitation services to individuals where I teach them various coping skills, prepare them for independent living, practice communication skills, link to resources and much more. During my time in my current position, I have gained vital experience, patience, and a better understanding of the different types of mental illnesses and how they negatively affect individuals.
I am a driven, hardworking, and determined individual. I have a goal-oriented personality and my passions for helping people motivates me and my work in the mental health field. Due to my own mental health struggles, I have gained even more empathy not only for people with mental illnesses, but for all people. I care deeply for individuals and enjoy seeing them succeed as well as maintain mental health wellness. I am sociable and enjoy meeting new people. Despite working through my own mental health struggles, I have remained positive and maintained self-care so that I can help and encourage others.
