About

Hello, my name is Muhammad Ali Khdair (MAK). I am a transfer student at UW as an second year Bachelor's Arts program at CEP for the 2023-2024 academic year. I graduated from Everett Community College in the Spring of 2022 with an Associates of Arts & Sciences - Direct Transfer Agreement with a focus on Fire Science and graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 2019. This is my second coming year at UW, majoring in Community, Environment, and Planning (CEP) and minoring in Environmental Sciences (ESRM). I would work with my community in parks, recreation, turf management, national/state land, stadium operations, transportation, and more. I am also looking at doing an apprenticeship of some kind in my field. I have worked in related jobs to my interest as a student in these areas while going to school like golf maintenance, city, and government.
I was born in Seattle, Washington, and lived in the area all my life. I am big into maps and understanding Pacific NW history. I spent most of the time studying and learning about all the mountains, forests, rivers, roads, trees, and plant life across our state. I have not traveled much outside Washington but have been to British Columbia. I am a big fan of Canada and consider it a country I would like to travel to and maybe live in one day. I am currently trying to learn all about Canada and the good place I start is understanding its geography. But I comprehensively understand British Columbia’s terrain, tribal land, regional districts, mountains, cities, provincial parks, regions, railroads, lakes, rivers, wildlife/plants/trees, and more. I have traveled a few times to Jordan where my father’s side of the family lives. One of my favorite places in northeast Washington, interior British Columbia, and North Idaho where I spend most of my time in the summer/early fall and sometimes winter. I like the weather, trees, and geography and hope one day to live on the east side of the mountains. My hobbies include attending city council meetings, landscaping, and making presentations on my favorite topics, such as the mountains, rivers, lakes, highways, and more.
