Munguntuya Edington

I am currently a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. When I grew up, I watched and helped my self-taught engineer uncle. After that, I love to create new things like other engineers, but I realized I need to go to engineering college and earn a degree. Unfortunately, I have a low chance of getting an engineering degree in my home country due to people thinking that being an engineer is only a job for men. I have never given up on my goal and dreams and have had the opportunity to come to the USA and make my dream come true. I have faced many issues such as language barrier, culture shock, and being minority and missing my country since I started to study in America. I made a great effort to get good grades, awards, and honors thanks to my hard work and continue to pursue my goal against many obstacles.
