Myelle Vann

Currently, I am a student at Western Illinois University studying Biology with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy, in Macomb, Il. In addition to academics I am also a student athlete running collegiate track and field for four years now. I have always had a passion for fitness and being active since I was a little girl. Growing up in the city of Chicago I enjoyed playing outside; climbing trees, competitively racing, doing push ups, pull ups, you name it. My interests and decisions has always revolved around fitness in some way. My mom is a single parent with three girls. Her handwork and perseverance to help us succeed continues to be a reminder that I can achieve my goals. And so, trying to figure out my purpose in life I decided I wanted to help others in the medical field. This past summer of 2014, I interned in Australia with a medical sports staff and an Australian Rules Football team. I gained a great deal of knowledge, experience, and insight on the responsibilities of healthcare professionals. As an athlete and Biology major I dedicate my time to become a professional Physical Therapist in Wellness/Prevention/Sports/Fitness to meet the demands of a growing service.
