Unit Clerk at I work in the hospital in Odessa Texas in the COVID-19 unit. We have a few COVID units but the one I work is the critical care unit. Basically I am a CNA because I help aid the nurses in whatever they need, I also admit and discharge patients and prep their files after the patient expires. I have been in this critical care unit since before COVID.

About

I am a working single mother of three boys. I have been on my journey to become a nurse for about 4 years now, always stopped because my job was pretty overwhelming. I finally started back up and have my foot in the door to join nursing school, I am so excited and ready. I decided to become a nurse when I saw the type of work my step mother would do with the special needs kids, they are so adorable and are always short handed with nurses. I have been working in a hospital setting since before COVID hit and during COVID. That when I gave myself confirmation on what I really wanted to do. I feel like I can be that nurse that stays on top of my patients and actually save lives.
