My name is Nadia Angela C. Javier, and I am a full-time student at NWTC. A scholarship would help me to provide for my school needs, daily living expenses, and my family. My area of study is nursing, but I graduated college in the Philippines with a
Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Isn’t it interesting that hotel and restaurant management and nursing are not related and not even cousins? The pandemic pushed me to pursue nursing since it is my first dream job when I was a kid. The world needs more people who will help those who are in need. Also, changing career paths will help me find what career fits me. Helping people and healing people is my passion. Just by thinking and seeing heroes like nurses, who help those who are sick, motivates me to pursue nursing. Seeing people being healed and being helped gives me a feeling of relief; at least doing something is better than doing nothing. In conclusion, nursing will help me with my personal growth while I am also helping people with their needs. I hope I can learn the proper etiquette and steps of the nursing program while I am studying at NWTC, and I hope to fall in love with my field of choice which is nursing.
