About

My name is Naiya Blanco, and I have always been fascinated by the performing arts. I have participated in dance, acting, and singing. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing these, but at the current stage of my life, I have developed a desire to learn more about the entertainment industry. This passion has allowed me to participate in different types of performances, rehearsals, and events. Besides my passion for the arts, I have participated in community service events and assisted with counseling students at school. This exposure to the arts, as well as my service activities, has harvested in me creativity, and compassion. and loyalty-filled values.

I have participated in the arts by dancing, playing the piano, singing in choirs, and acting on stage. I’ve participated with creative-based companies such as Houston Children's Chorus, Houston Dance Lab, and Theater Under The Stars (TUTS) My educational pursuit has been at art-based schools: Harmony School of Fine Arts and Technology, Meyerland Performing and Visual Arts Middle School, and Westbury High School of Performing and Visual Arts My education has been enriched by the arts, thus fueling my desire to become an actress and singer.

I have been involved in community outreach, which has allowed me to help better the community and use my leadership skills. I have worked weekends volunteering at the Houston Food Bank with my dad and the Girl Scouts. I was chosen to be in the Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS) Club in middle school. I was class Student government representative for my high school class and was recently inducted into the National Honors Society (NHS). These experiences and accomplishments have helped to mold me into a compassionate and courageous individual. These attributes will assist me in being prepared for my college education, my career choices, and being prepared to meet the “real world”.

Because of my exposure to the visual and performing arts, I am genuinely passionate about exploring every aspect of the entertainment business. I have been involved in many rehearsals and performances. I have represented my community by participating in community service activities and contributing to peer assistance and leadership groups. I believe a combination of these experiences has contributed to my becoming the creative, empathetic, and loyalty-filled individual that I am today. I’m excited about the future, and what’s in store for me!
