About
My name is Nancy Martinez and I am an accounting major at Navarro College. Currently, I am working full-time as a pharmacy technician at the Department of Veterans Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy. I have been employed there for the last 13 years. I have taken on additional duties as timekeeper for our VA staff of over 100 employees.
It didn’t take much convincing from family and friends for me to decide to go back to school and get my degree. I am self-supporting and my goal is to provide a better life for myself and to seek opportunities to advance my career.
I have seen firsthand that nothing is certain in life, and this has provided the motivation for me to seek opportunities that will provide the necessary security and life style that I desire.
