Goals and interests
- Career goal
Currently I am working as an ARMHS practitioner providing in-home skills therapy to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, some with a dual diagnosis, teaching coping and symptom management skills along with basic living skills to help overcome the barriers of their mental illness. I am on a licensure track for my LADC and LPCC and am interested in working with adolescents and young adults with co-occurring disorders. I feel they are a population that often gets looked over, but could benefit most from therapy. I am also interested in pursuing my doctorate eventually.
- Graduate school interests
I am currently in Graduate School at the University of Minnesota studying Integrated Behavioral Health. I am focusing on the combined treatment of mental health conditions and substance use. I am very interested in working with adolescents with Dual Diagnoses. I am a supported or motivational interviewing
