About

Greetings,

I am thrilled to introduce myself to the Honor Society. Currently a senior psychology student deeply passionate about the intricacies of human behavior and its profound impact on our lives, I navigate my final year of undergraduate studies with immense joy and fulfillment, particularly in my role as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

Working in this capacity has granted me the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of behavioral interventions, especially within the realm of autism. These experiences have been nothing short of inspiring, solidifying my dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of children within the autistic community. I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers these individuals to thrive.

As I look ahead, my aspirations extend beyond my current role, as I set my sights on becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This journey seamlessly aligns with my unwavering commitment to understanding and addressing the unique needs of children with autism. The prospect of contributing to their growth and development on a broader scale propels my academic and professional pursuits.

Adding a unique dimension to my connection with children is my personal experience as a person with dwarfism. This perspective allows me to connect with them more profoundly, as they often see me as a little friend, fostering a sense of trust and frienship.

In the spirit of the Honor Society, I am eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a passion for academic excellence, community engagement, and the advancement of knowledge. I firmly believe that my dedication to the field of psychology, coupled with my hands-on experience as an RBT and my unique perspective, uniquely positions me to contribute meaningfully to the Honor Society's mission.

Thank you for considering my application. I am excited about the opportunity to be part of a community that values and celebrates the pursuit of knowledge, service, and leadership.

Sincerely,
Natalia Santiago-Gonzalez

Outside the classroom

In my leisure time, I find joy and relaxation in a variety of hobbies that add vibrancy to my life. Engaging in coloring not only serves as a creative outlet but also allows me to unwind and express my artistic side. Family holds a special place in my heart, and spending quality time with loved ones is an essential part of my routine. As a proud Puerto Rican woman, the beach holds a unique allure for me, providing a tranquil escape and a connection to my cultural roots. Additionally, I share my days with the delightful company of three canine companions and six charming chickens, fostering a harmonious balance between the serenity of nature and the warmth of my furry and feathery friends.
