Natalie Brown

I am currently am Social Work student at Capella University online, however I'm located in New Haven, CT. I am studying to be a social worker where I can become a clinically licensed social worker where I can implement assessments, intakes, interventions, and provide individuals with the adequate services they need in order to have a successful quality of life. I have always had a love for helping people even when I was a little girl. During my undergrad at the University of Connecticut I decided my freshman year that I would get my degree in Sociology. I learned a great deal during my undergrad about helping relationships. I have been able to obtain a great deal of experience within the human services field through many different jobs as a Direct Support Staff, and Recovery Assistant. I currently work as a Behavioral Specialist in a school system that implements ABA therapy to children who have Autism. During this time I decided to go back to school and obtain my Masters in Social Work. I feel that although I have expressed my infectious personality to those who I've worked with I feel that I would have more of a reach to helping others. While working full-time I have been able to obtain a 3.7 GPA. I am now approaching the tail-end of my masters and actively seeking internship opportunities.
