Goals and interests

Career goal

I am currently studying to be an accountant, but after I receive my degree I would like to began working towards my CPA and from there begin working in corporate accounting. I believe that having a business administration degree alongside the accounting degree is beneficial to my career path because it helps prepare me for positions of greater responsibility, a strong foundational knowledge of methods of management, as well as proper interactions and engagement with people in a work environment as their superior or associate.

Graduate school interests

After completing my Bachelor Degree, I would prefer to prepare for my CPA, rather than grad school. However, if the opportunity to attend may come, I would highly consider it.

Outside the classroom

I have always had a strong love of music, whether it be playing piano, which I had taken lessons for over 5 years, or violin, playing in the orchestra, or singing in the choir at school or church, music has always had a strong influence in my life. I also found great joy through creativity. Growing up with creative women all my life and having Pinterest as my best friend, I picked up many creative hobbies: sewing, quilting, and upcycling to name a few. Traveling and history are also things that I enjoy. I love to visit historical places and museums or go spelunking and cite seeing, but most of all, I love reading. Reading allows one to travel to unknown worlds and adventures and live thousands of lives. Some of my favorite books are: The Help, Dracula, A Dog's Purpose, and Where the Sidewalk Ends.
