About (Summary)

I am a recent graduate from the University of Denver where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences after double majoring in Sociology and Gender & Women's Studies. Both programs helped me foster an incredible respect and passion for social justice and community engagement. I am a Denver, Colorado native and have been a nanny in the area for over 8 years. In addition to working in a children's nursery, I nanny privately for many families in the Denver area. I hope to combine my passion of working with children and families with my interests in the Social Sciences by obtaining a degree in Social Work. Within the Social Work program, I plan on concentrating in programs that will allow me to work one-on-one and in group settings with children who need additional resources and positive human connection in their lives. I am a firm believer that human connection is one of our most valuable resources! I am proud Denver native and hope to become a great resource for my community as I continue my education and begin to build a career!

Hobbies

In my free time I love to spend time outdoors camping, hiking and road tripping! I thoroughly enjoy getting out, exploring new places, trying new activities and meeting new people along the way. I find the outdoors to be a wonderful vehicle for self care and enjoy the beauty that our nation's many mountain ranges, beaches and national parks provide. While I am interested in many activities from hiking to snowboarding to rock climbing, one of my current goals is to continue to hike as many of our nation's 14ers as I can. I have currently reached the summit of ten peaks and hope to conquer many more!
