Community Based Initiative
The purpose of the Community-Based Initiative (CBI) in Detroit is to train and support a new generation of social workers dedicated to community and social change in urban cities, neighborhoods, and communities.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am interested in working alongside youth in cultivating their own voice and political agency as a platform for empowerment and social change. I would like to focus at the neighborhood level doing place-based progressive community organizing and plan to engage in community organizing, outreach, and facilitation with youth of diverse backgrounds.
