Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to do part-time intern drafting while achieving my degree. After graduating from Dakota County Technical College I am planning to continue working as an Architectural Drafter while continuing my education towards an additional 3-year bachelor's degree program in architecture where I can achieve becoming an fully licensed architect and perhaps continue onward to owning my own architectural firm.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested in attending Dunwoody College in Minneapolis. They have a +3 Bachelor's degree program in architecture that when achieved I would be a fully licensed architect.
- Outside the classroom
I have a large interest in art, whether it be performing arts or artwork, I enjoy the creativity and beauty that art can possess. The healing of our environment is important to me, I research and have taken elective classes in Earth sciences and Green Technology to advance my knowledge to apply in my future endeavors. A profession in architecture is a great avenue for me to express my passions for art and environmental awareness. I highly promote healthy living and fitness, so I often take part in eating healthy, general exercise, hiking, swimming and sports activities. Along with my interest in the environment I also enjoy taking part in outdoor recreation; I often go camping and fishing as well as enjoy many outdoor events and festivals.
