About

I am a computer science major, and I'm getting a certification in game design. At my university, the computer science program is mostly made up of classes that teach the C language, and C++. There are also a few classes on assembly languages, and digital logic. The certification I am pursuing is to show my ability to build video games, and my knowledge of how they work. The classes required for the certification cover how game engines generally work, how game physics engines generally work, and how to use unreal engine. While taking these classes I have made three games. I made the first game with a team, but I completed the bulk of the work, by myself. I made the second game by myself, for a research project; it was to determine how much my creative writing abilities could influence player choice. This project showed my creative writing had a large effect on the choices my players made. I made the third game in unreal engine 4; this game received a high grade for demonstrating a clear understanding of Unreal Engine, and for being fun to play.
