About

I am currently pursuing a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Ohio University. I received my associate degree in nursing in 1984 from the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio. I have been nurse for 30 years and have worked in a variety of areas including Intensive care, Cardiac step- down, Med./Surg. and Home Health. My husband, Bryan is an Owner/Operator Truck Driver and we have been married for 29 years. We have two grown sons, the oldest is married and that couple has a son, which is our first grandchild. The younger son recently became engaged. When I was in high school, I always wanted to be a member of the National Honor Society, but I did not get that opportunity. I feel very honored to be invited to be a member as a college student. I have lived in rural Southeastern Ohio for most of my life. My entire family has been very involved in 4-H and FFA throughout the years. I was a 4-H member when I was younger and I have served as a 4-H leader for 16 years. I am also active in Church and have served as Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and Deaconess at Calvary Baptist Church in Rio Grande, Ohio.
