Nicholas Banegas

My name is Nicholas Banegas and I currently am a junior at Illinois State University. I am majoring in Construction Management and I am expected to graduate next fall in December. I went to community college for three years at The College of DuPage because I wanted to save some money. My first year at The College of DuPage I was not really sure what I wanted to do with my life. At one point I even thought of dropping out and just working full time, but I made the right decision of staying in school. My second year at The College of DuPage I saw that they had a construction management program there and ever since then I haven't looked back. I ended up getting my associates at The College of DuPage and then I transferred to Illinois State University where I plan on getting my bachelors. I am very happy with everything I have accomplished so far and I want to make my family proud by being the first to graduate from a university with a degree. I hope that my hard work will pay off in the future and I want to show people, especially Latinos, that if you work hard in life you can accomplish your dreams
