About
I am currently seeking my Education Specialist-Superintendency Degree at Northwest Missouri State University. This is my 20th year of working in the field of education. I love the changing the world: one child at a time. The reason I love working in the field of education is because no two days are the same. During my years of being in education, I have taught grades 1-6 at the elementary level, 8th Grade ELA, as well as worked as a district special education director and school principal. One day, I hope to become a superintendent of a rural school district. I grew up in and live in a rural area, and I love the sense of community that naturally comes with that setting. It's about forming relationships. I love being a leader for good. I grew up on a farm and ranch and still have the opportunity of working side-by-side my dad every day in the summer. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I learned at an early age that I can do hard things, and I learned the value setting goals and working hard. I am a mother to three amazing kids, and I have been married for 26 years.
