About

Hello, my name is Nicole!

Born in Chicago & raised in Ilo-Ilo City for seven years.

Now based & redefined in Chicago.

Feminist. Breast cancer survivor. Freelance graphic designer. Photographer. Photo editor. Striving art therapist. Wanderluster. Growing up, I had this powerful feeling that I needed to set myself free and no one could do it except for me. Today, I hope to impart that strength and wisdom to young women & men everywhere.

A.A.S in Graphic Design from Oakton Community College, graduated with Honors & a President Scholar

I'm a sucker for coffee, pugs, drawing doodles, ice cream & shooting polaroids. Traveling has always been a meaningful adventure & a great remedy. I also have this flare of optimism that is difficult for people to extinguish. For me, composing great design is fulfilling, but helping others create deep connections & reach their full potential is even more so.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intended to become a graphic designer and photographer, although, I realized after being diagnosed with breast cancer last year, I have an intense passion to assist and guide people. My aim is to combine my passion for art & design and helping people. So I decided to pursue an undergraduate & masters in social work with a minor in art and psychology. I prefer working with all age groups than individuals. On the other hand I would not mind working with individuals. Overall, my ultimate goal is to become an art therapist or a social worker who practices art therapy with men, women and children affected by cancer.

Graduate school interests

My interests in regards to grad school are Masters in Social Work and Master of Arts in Counseling: Art Therapy
