About

My name is Niki, and I live in Switzerland, where I graduated from high school in May. During my time in high school, I took the opportunity to spend a year abroad in the United States, which was a transformative experience. Immersing myself in a different culture and education system opened my eyes to new perspectives and ways of learning, fostering a deep appreciation for the diverse and dynamic environment of American universities. Upon returning to Switzerland and completing my studies, I realized that I want to pursue my further education in the United States, where I can continue to grow academically and personally. The emphasis on innovation, interdisciplinary studies, and a strong sense of community are just a few reasons why I believe the U.S. is the perfect place for my higher education journey.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am currently torn between two fields of study due to my diverse interests and passions. On one hand, I am deeply passionate about sports and aspire to work in a field where I can share and cultivate that enthusiasm. On the other hand, I am equally intrigued by aerospace engineering, a field that challenges me intellectually and offers the opportunity to contribute to advancements that shape our future. Both paths excite me, and I am committed to pursuing a course of study that allows me to make a meaningful impact, whether it be through fostering a love for sports or innovating in the field of engineering.

Graduate school interests

My graduate school interests lie at the intersection of sports and engineering. I am passionate about pursuing a field that allows me to integrate my love for sports with innovative technological advancements, whether that be through sports management, exercise science, or aerospace engineering. I am eager to engage in a program that challenges me intellectually while also enabling me to make a meaningful impact in the field I choose.

Outside the classroom

I have a deep passion for sport/movement and especially gymnastics, which I've pursued for many years and recently began coaching to share my love for the sport with others. I also have a strong desire to explore new places, which is why I’m currently taking a gap year and working as a flight attendant, allowing me to travel and see the world. This experience not only fuels my love for adventure but also broadens my perspective on different cultures and lifestyles.
