Nina Roberts

Hello, my name is Nina Roberts. I am currently a student at Bellevue College and previously went to Washington State University for a semester. My intention is to finish my prerequisites for nursing then transfer to a University. I went to a private Christian school named Cedar Park Christian. I attended that school from kindergarten all the way to my senior year. Throughout middle school and high school I played many sports. I was a four year varsity soccer player and had a chance to play for Bellevue college as well but decided after my second big concussion to focus on school. I did basketball, softball, track and field, and swimming as well. Before I was 18 I volunteered at Evergreen hospital in the gift shop, then when I was of age, I moved to the emergency room to volunteer. I would restock the rooms and respond to call lights. I aspire to be a nurse working in the ER. I am hoping to even reach my goal of getting a PhD and run the floor in a hospital. I have very good leadership qualities that I have developed from sports as well as leadership classes from high school. I have had some set backs due to concussions, stomach issues, and knee surgeries but that has not made my change my mind from becoming a nurse. Like my brother, who is an orthopedic surgeon in the Air Force, I would like to join as well. Serving this country and helping the men who have served would be my honor. I am working toward entering the ROTC program for next fall. Right now I work as a lifeguard for a high end club and nanny for three children. My day normally starts at four in the morning most days of the week and ends late at night. I will not stop pursing my goals in life no matter how many set backs I might have.
