Noah Moore

Hi, my name is Noah Moore and I am from Grandview, Missouri. I currently attend the University of Central Missouri and am currently living on campus. I am preparing to enter my senior year with plans on achieving my degree in Digital Media Production. I currently work on campus at the KMOS PBS production studio as a Production Specialist. Before attending UCM I received my associate's degree at MCC Longview. I am currently involved with a group on campus called the Black Male Initiative, of which I am the treasurer, and our organization's goal is to change and better the image and reputation of black males on college campuses. We currently engage in fundraisers, community service, peer mentorship, event planning, and much more to achieve our goal. I am very passionate about advocating for black individuals in college as no one in my family ever graduated and for most of my life college seemed unattainable. I now plan on attaining and using my degree in Digital Media Production to make digital content for local businesses and organizations around Warrensburg and Kansas City. I also aspire to give back to my community by currently volunteering at local food drives and churches. I also spend time assisting in basketball coaching for elementary students in Warrensburg. As a student, I currently maintain a 2.94 GPA, attend classes full-time, and am currently considering grad school. All in all, I want to achieve my degree the most for my brother who passed away while in college, and for the rest of my family that never got to go. I am confident in finishing school and using my degree to give back to my community while supporting other young black individuals to do the same.
