About

I grew up in a small mountain town outside of Denver where I spent much of my childhood in the outdoors. This upbringing instilled me with a love for nature and an appreciation for science. As I grew up, I had a difficult time deciding what field I wanted to work in, and rather than choosing one discipline I found myself being drawn toward a variety of disciplines. I believe that while having specialized experience is important, understanding how various industries and roles work together is incredibly valuable in the modern world.

I have both an Associate of Arts and Science degree and an Associate of Business degree, and I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business and natural science integration. I have worked in multiple business roles and currently work in a primarily science-based role. My education and career experience align with my belief of having diverse knowledge and provide me with a solid foundation for understanding both Natural Sciences and Business separately, but also give me the knowledge and tools to navigate the overlap of these two disciplines professionally.

As mentioned, I currently work in the medical device field as a Clinical Technology Specialist - Regional Trainer. In this role I assist doctors and hospital staff throughout Colorado and neighboring states with surgical procedures requiring laser and intra-operative ultrasound technology. This role requires me to be present in the operating room during surgery, assisting doctors and staff with the intricacies and techniques associated with the various laser and ultrasound platforms available. I was also chosen to be one of two trainers in my region due to my expertise and wide platform knowledge, giving me the responsibility of teaching various laser or ultrasound platforms to other members of my team. I have also learned how to efficiently work with supporting departments within the medical field such as sterile processing and administration. As a result of this position, I have become well versed in the clinical environment and have a deep understanding of what it takes to be successful in this field.
