About
I was born in Ireland in the beautiful county of Kilkenny, home of the Medieval Kilkenny Castle on the backs on the Nore River and a destination of many tourists to Ireland. I spent my childhood surrounded by fields, strays and aging neighbors. My mother was a strong influence on my choice of career as she involved me in the care of so many ill neighbors after school or caring for sick lambs and dogs. I embraced nursing school in Dublin, Ireland as a natural progression of my childhood. I immigrated to the US in 1990 when a recruiting agency found a position for me in Myeloma Institute , UAMS in Little Rock and so began the next step of my nursing career. I attended UAMs and earned a Bachelors and at then a masters degree in Nursing. I am about to embark on my Doctoral studies at Vanderbilt, Nashville, TN.
