About

As a young boy living in Africa, my goal is to be part of something that make a difference in people’s life based on what I experienced growing up in a small village where health supplies and information are limited. I remember vividly my grandfather word to me then, he said “knowledge is power that can never be taking away from you once acquired.” He also explained the important of getting education and how I can use the knowledge acquired to positively impact my life and people around me. I am motivated by my current achievement even though it was hard going to school and working at the same time. I currently have 2 years laboratory experience and 5 years plus experience working in various departments in the pharmaceutical industry. My passion to help others and my eagerness to learn new skills has been my motivation in furthering my education.
Currently, I have associate degree in bio-pharmaceutical, bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Science with a minor in Chemistry, and MBA in Healthcare management. I decide to further my education by pursuing a Doctor of Public health in epidemiology degree because the course materials will equip me with health studies knowledge and skills needed for future position in Epidemiology and to be able to lead infectious disease prevention in countries affected by deadly disease such as Ebola and Zika virus. The courses in the Doctorate program are challenging, but with dedication and hard work, I have maintained a GPA of 4.0. The degree in Doctor of Public Health in epidemiology will make a significant impact in my career which will help me secure future job in health organization such as CDC and WHO, and also provide opportunity to grow my knowledge in global health issues.
