About

I am Medical Doctor, with a few years of clinical experience and currently enrolled at the University of Texas Health Science Center, at Houston, to earn a Masters in Public Health degree. I'm hoping to merge my clinical experience with this degree to give my patients the best individual clinical care as well as going into the communities to promote healthier lifestyle, identify and address the social constructs that hinder accessing adequate and prompt health services, and how to sustain a quality health across board for everyone in the nation, starting from the communities up.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I'm a Medical and Dental Council of Nigerian (MDCN) certified Medical Doctor , with my first degree from the University of Port Harcourt College of Health Sciences. I'm currently enrolled to earn a graduate degree in the field of Public Health, with a major in Epidemiology as I aspire to utilize my skill and knowledge to effect positive changes in order to both help apply policies that will reduce health care disparities in our local and wider communities, especially, those worst impacted in the developing countries, help in the early detection and management of public health illnesses of interest like stroke and other diseases of cardio-vascular origin , obesity and diabetes, mental illnesses and common communicable infections. I also hope to apply my knowledge from this degree onto my clinical practice in the near future, as clinical medicine focuses care on an individual basis while public health takes into account the health of all, which I believe will make a wider impact in achieving a more sustained and profound better quality of life for our societies.
