About

I am beyond enamored to find my calling in the Healthcare Industry. I hold my CNA license, which is in good standing in the State of Florida and pursuing my LPN license in the State of Florida starting in March. I desire the healthcare industry, particularly long-term care with Alzheimer's patients, because I want to take my love of others to be of service and make a difference in their lives and provide the dignity they deserve. I am confident my calling is to interact with the sick or the elderly in a compassionate, cheerful, and sensitive way, recognizing and respecting patient and family needs by providing a comfortable culturally sensitive environment for care. I was the care giver of my mother-in-law, who has Stage 4 Alzheimer’s until I couldn’t any longer and that is why I pursued my CNA. I hold my Dementia Care and Training Certification from Alzheimer's Association, Florida. I have completed the Safe Environment training through St. Patrick's, which is for the protection of vulnerable adults. I am an active volunteer with St. Peter's Catholic Church Eucharist and Sick and Homebound Ministry. I volunteer at Jupiter Medical Center through their Pastoral Ministry. I also have volunteer hours with Florida Cancer Specialists, Restoration Bridge, an affiliate of Feeding South Florida. I served on the PEACE (People Engaged in Active Community Effort); non-partisan social justice committee when we belonged to St. Patrick's. I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honors Society and Honor Society Foundation. Full COVID-19 vaccinated. I hold my BLS through AHA and have a current physical and TB test.
I am looking for per diem work as my schedule is limited preparing for my Hesi A2 exam and my volunteer commitments. I am buying out my contract with Morselife because the scope of work I was doing within the PACE program was not geared to the CNA training I completed. I want to be more hands on with patient care and they do not have a position to fit my availability; so ShiftKey (which I am set up with) advised me to reach out to you all to see if there is any flexibility in scheduling. I am available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 2pm and can start immediately.
My background consists of extensive administrative and customer service experience. I offer proficiency in Microsoft Office, and I am self-taught in EVV, HER and EMR platforms. I constantly deliver exceptional customer service and analytical, managerial, and problem-solving skills.
My traits which consist of a strong work ethic, dedication to timely follow-up, impeccable focus on attention to detail, and enthusiasm for teamwork and getting the job done, have laid the foundation for my professional and personal success.
