About

I was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. My parents decided to move to the U.S. when I was barely over 1 year old so I starting speaking both languages at the same time. We went back to Ecuador when I was 5 years old and I spent the rest of my childhood and most of my teenage years there. In 2018, when I was 17, I went to San Diego for an exchange program, and later in the year got a scholarship for a high school in Wisconsin where I graduated in 2019. Because of the pandemic, and later when I was diagnosed with a tumor on my pelvis, I was not able to start my higher education until fall 2021. I decided to go to a two-year college because I was not sure of what I wanted my major to be, and the economy of my family only allowed me to start in a community college. I now wish to get a scholarship in any University so I can continue my education and become a social worker.
