My name is Danie! I am the enthusiastic teacher that "hooks" kids into learning. The Magic School Bus books have helped me in a way of creating an environment of excitement. In the book, Ms. Frizzle is the teacher that wears different outfits for the anticipatory set to an activity that the students are about to encounter. I aspire to be a real life Ms. Frizzle! The attitude that the teacher brings into the classroom has a powerful effect on the students. As my profile picture, I have included a fun school spirit photo. The students are always interested in what crazy outfits I wear that they want to come to school, and I try to one up my outfit from the previous year. I have an awareness of all of my students, my creativity and their interest compliment each other.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Continue to engage students through self discovery. I will encourage them to be bold and daring. I aspire to be the best me I can be, and it is my hope that I will infect my students to do the same.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested in furthering my education through the LEAP (Language, Equity, and Academic Performance) program to receive my endorsement for the English Language Learners Program.
- Outside the classroom
Some of my hobbies and interests include, but are not limited to: camping, hiking, biking, gardening, reading, writing, coloring, exploring, relaxing, yoga, mediating, and rejuvenating (rewarding) myself with a massage!
