  • Cat Care Volunteer Lead, Palmetto Animal League (October 2022-Present): In my Junior year I was inspired to get more involved with my community and wanted to pursue weekly service hours. I first applied to volunteer at Palmetto Animal League in October 2022 because of my love of caring for neglected animals. Since then, I have volunteered 2 hours, 4 times a week. In Early 2023 I was offered the role as Cat Care Volunteer Lead, it’s in this role that I serve as a representative to welcome and train new volunteers with open arms. I have volunteered over 105 hours at Palmetto Animal League. I was recommended to and received the Town of Bluffton Mayors’ Service Award in June 2023. Over the past year, I have been able to meet such amazing animals and people at Palmetto Animal League. In fact, last month I adopted a very special cat from the shelter named Burke, who is now the 3rd addition to my beloved cat family!
