Pedro Barnes

I am an aspiring biologist at the University of Akron. I am focused, driven, hard working, and hate the idea of leaving a job half-done. I have earned Eagle Scout within the BSA, and am also a member of the Order of the Arrow. I have been practicing martial arts since I was four, and have recently begun teaching martial arts as well. I am also involved in the University of Akron Ballroom Dance club as a member of the club's executive board, and am participating in the university's Tiered mentoring program in order to assist with actual research relating to biomimicry. I work part time on the weekends to help pay for college as well as my hobbies, which are largely animal care and enclosure fabrication. I am fascinated by the natural world and am working to put myself on a career path that will allow me to work with nature and to continue to learn about it.
