As a former Head Start child and a current Head Start Lead Teacher, I know firsthand the impact that a great teacher can make to not only the child but their family too. It has been my greatest pleasure to work alongside teachers, children, and their families. Child Parent Centers sincere practices of mindfulness and self care for their employees, their recognition of parents as the child's first and most important teacher, and their play-based child led classrooms are just a few of the many reasons why I would like to continue to support families and teachers as an Education Specialist. I am pursuing a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education in order to attain this position.

As I worked alongside several lead teachers, co-teacher, and over 200 families I have built relationships, collaborated, and promoted the programs values and mission on school readiness and ethical leadership. My experience with using My Teaching Strategies Gold, Ages and Stages screeners, and the utilization of the Languages of Learning framework in weekly lesson plans I feel confident in my expertise to guide and support teachers with the implementation of these requirements into their classroom.

“Children are magical and competent, and constant, curious learners.” It is the greatest job to spend your days learning with children. And even though, I enjoy being in the classroom I desire to coach, mentor, and support teachers in being there best possible selves to bring up other children and their families.
