About

I am a young, bright mind looking to build a better system, whatever it may be. I want to tinker with my hands as much as I want to tinker with my mind, and developing a concept to a finished product is something which excites me.

Education

  • University of Louisiana at Lafayette

    Petroleum Engineering, Math minor

Goals and interests

Career goal

Though my field of study prepares me mainly for field work, the extracurricular projects which I've worked on have pointed me in a different direction. I want to pursue a position in research and development in some engineering industry, more than likely petroleum since it is all I know at the moment. While I am led to believe that it is desirable to hire someone with a doctorate's to such a position, I believe that my past experience, my go-getter attitude, and commitment to the science of things will work in my favor. I am contemplating a master's degree all the same.

Graduate school interests

While I have not yet committed to graduate school, it is a significant interest. Should the organic polymer flooding project upon which I am working, in conjunction with the chemical engineering department, come to fruition, it could be the subject of my graduate thesis. The situation is definitely fluid but I am seriously considering graduate school nonetheless.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy running and working in the lab, whether it's crunching numbers, building spreadsheets, or running experiments
