About
Hello my name is Qinyue He, and I'm a graduate student at University of North Texas. My current project is concerning the strengthening mechanism employing hexagonal Boron Nitride (h-BN) into commercial concrete. Yet there's still uncleared portions, I'm doing my best to reveal the undiscovered theories. The largest challenge for me is the uniform dispersion of additional phase into the concrete matrix and how to test the degree of dispersion, since there's not a useful way to test non-conductive fibers' degree of dispersion.
My previous experience includes a couple of topics:1). I've participated in the manufacturing of cathodic materials in innovative lithium-ion battery at Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the top-tier research institute in China. 2). My undergrad thesis was about the non-toxic method for anticorrosion of aluminum alloy using a rear earth salt Cerium Chloride to form a prevention layer on the alloy's surface. 3). I've been also focusing on the topic of optimization of semiconductor thermoelectric devices. My part was about the characterization of the figure of merit (ZT) of samples with different compounds and doping characteristics, and the corresponding Seebeck coefficient of each semiconductor sample.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I would like to join a technical company or a technical group in an enterprise in the fields of construction, metals, concretes, ceramics, materials or oil industry. I have a board horizon of knowledge and I will adjust myself very soon to a new position.
I can start from the basic level of these related fields' work, and I believe my perseverance and my ability of learning will enable me to a higher level of acquaintance very soon. Specifically, I love teamwork very much, and I can adjust myself to most of the working environment---- that is because I was born in one of the largest petrochemical communities in China, even globally largest. I've witnessed my dad's working ever from my first childhood memory and I do understand that I must hand down to the most basic to gain the most top tier. Even he's an executive engineer in his group he still climbs up and down all the facilities in his factory and he told me that handing down to a thing is the most direct source of knowledge, to which I firmly believe in.
Therefore, I believe I will be a very realistic member in a group, a project or a company. I am completely fine with starting my career as a basic-level employee, but I will pursue my largest effort to higher levels if chances are available.- Graduate school interests
What I've been conducting now is my interest, and I am also interested in the non-toxic treatment of metals and alloys, as well as the strengthening of metals with nano particle surface treatment.
Since my background involves metals, heat treatment, solid mechanics, quantum mechanics, failure analysis and prevention, ceramics, polymers, my interest is basically an integrated and interdisciplinary research between these topics.- Outside the classroom
Photograph, music, history, linguistic, video-game, computer hardware
