About

I'm attending University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in Sociology/College Teaching with a minor in Professions in Deafness (American Sign Language/Deaf Studies). I hope to find an internship or employment that will help me continue to gain the necessary skills and experience that relate to my field of study and give me the very opportunity to enhance others with that same knowledge. I am also interested in completing my studies in Funeral Service Education.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I would love to teach college, but a little more of my focus would be on students with a hearing loss. 70% of students with a hearing loss are college dropouts and having a hearing loss brings on additional handicaps. My hope is that by coming together, we can bridge the gap and give students a fair place and chance to persue their degree. This would be one of my greatest rewards, and esp to support their dedication and hard effort.

Graduate school interests

Teach students with a hearing loss and normal students of all ethnic groups. Continue research about hearing loss and higher education and inequality. Publish books, articles, quotes, etc.
