Quierra Dixon

I am Quierra Dixon who attends Rock Hill High School, I have a few interests like listening to music, being with my best friend and family, plus singing. My career goal is to become an Exotic or Zoo Veterinarian. I have wanted to be a Vet for around nine years, but just recently found the specialty I feel would best fit me in the field. All from my love of all animals ever since I was young and feeding stray cats. The veterinary field is my fit because I’m compassionate, intuitive, and mentally strong. The Applied Technology Center in Rock Hill has let me take a path in health science for me to learn the basic of terminology, health care complexities, first aid, anatomy, and soon the basic of veterinary assisting. The schools I have thought of attending to help reach my goal are, Columbia Collage or Francis Marion University. After acceptance, I will continue to keep my grades up, apply for scholarships to pay and earn my bachelor’s degree then transfer to vet school and obtain my DVM. After my plan takes me to practice in Tennessee for a few decades, then move back home to open my own animal shelter and hospital. In conclusion, whatever the future holds for me I wish to help animals.
