About

I'm currently a senior pursuing my undergrad degree in Psychology at MTSU. I was born and raised in East Tennessee, but I chose MTSU so that I could branch out and move away from home. It also doesn't cost a fortune to go to MT, which is a major plus. I didn't originally plan on staying in the Middle Tennessee area after graduation, but it's been five years now and Murfreesboro feels just as much like home as Knoxville. After graduation, I'll be pursuing my Masters in I/O Psychology at either UTC or MT. I haven't done any internships yet because this year (my senior undergrad year) I'll be focusing on independent research with a professor. I plan on doing an internship throughout grad-school which will hopefully be where I meet connections who can help me break into my career field. It would be nice to find a career closer to home, but I'm keeping my options open because I realize life rarely goes as planned.

Education

  • Middle Tennessee State University

    Psychology- major, Anthropology -minor

Goals and interests

Career goal

My goal is to eventually become an HR Manager or Specialist depending on where my career takes me.

Graduate school interests

Will be pursuing a Masters degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology at either MTSU or UTC.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy pretty much any physical activity. I'm a big sports person. If I've never played it before give me 30 minutes and I've got it. I'm big on going to the gym regularly, it honestly helps me keep my sanity. I like doing anything outdoors, you won't find me inside if it's a pretty day. Other than that I work and go to school.
