About
Hello! My name is Rachel Davis, and I am a senior Vocal Music Education major at Southeastern Louisiana University. A little about myself? I have studied piano for 15 years, and voice for 7 years. I have a passion for classic literature, including my lifelong favorites "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte and "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. I am a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota professional music fraternity, and have served as the chapter's Music Director, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, and Vice President of Membership. I also played an integral part in the birth of the Southeastern Louisiana University chapter, and am a charter member of the Mu Rho chapter. I am looking forward to completing my undergraduate degree, and the adventures that lie ahead of me!

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend on pursuing my Masters degree immediately after obtaining my Bachelors degree. I would then like to start a career working for the Choral Activities department at a renowned university. I hope to one day become the Director of Choral Activities at this university and travel the nation working with student choirs and their faculty!
- Graduate school interests
I would like to pursue a Masters degree in Choral Conducting in the United States.
- Outside the classroom
I have played piano for fifteen years now, and I am still continuing to study the art form. I have studied voice for seven years, both privately and academically. I enjoy reading, and hope to one day read all of the novels often referred to as "the classics". I enjoy learning new things and challenging myself to become a better person than I was the day before.
