About
I am a 27 soon to be 28 year old nursing student. I spent many years not sure what I wanted to do with my life. I worked as a sales associate, a laundry attendant, a barista, in a veterinary office, and even as a landscaper for a while. I realized that I wanted to help people and make an impact on their lives with my work. When I thought about those who had made an impact on my life I thought of my dad. He was a physician's assistant and whenever we had a medical emergency he was always there. He was this epitome of knowledge and a fount of stability that we all drew from in times of stress. I want to be able to be that for the people that I work with and serve and so I decided to become a nurse. This was 3 years ago now and I have never looked back.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am currently a certified nusing assistant at a physical rehabilitation center. Once I achieve my BSN in nursing I would love to become an ER nurse. I want to be able to help people during the worst days of their lives. No one wants to end up in the ER. It's stressful and scary. You could be there for yourself or you could be there with a loved one. Either way you want someone knowledgable, compassionate, and calm taking care of your needs. That is what I aim to be as a nurse.
- Graduate school interests
Even though I am very set on pursuing a career in emergency medicine I love conducting research. During my grad school I would love to continuing pursuing research opportunities on the side.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy reading, bicycling, weight lifting, hiking, paddleboarding, writing poetry, and singing.
