About
My name is Rachel and I am a Louisiana local, or at least I like to call myself one. I was actually born in Alabama when my dad was stationed there for the military. We moved several places when I was young, but Louisiana has always been the only home I know. I'm working on my second degree in nursing now. My first was in English with a concentration of Creative Writing. My goal is to one day write a book, along with own a coffee/bookstore and become a yoga instructor. Just got my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher certification so that last one may actually happen!

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended job path is to be an OR or trauma nurse. I find the nature of both to be wildly interesting. I view our bodies as one big machine and learning about how they work and operate is fascinating. Any path I can take that allows me to engage and continue to learn on the job sounds like what I want to be doing. I think I would be a good pediatric or hospice nurse as well because older individuals and children seem to like me.

My interest in Grad school would be to get my APRN so that I can be a NP.
