Rachelle Burfict

My name is Rachelle Burfict. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I am currently a Certified Nursing Assistant in an inpatient psychiatric unit that provides short-term psychiatry services for adult and geriatric patients. I am currently a full-time student at Los Medanos College pursuing a Vocational Nursing certification.  This past year I have had to overcome a lot of challenges and this has further solidified my desires of becoming a Nurse. I will continue to push myself to be the best I can not just for myself and my family but also for each and every patient in my care. When I received the invitation to become a member of this organization, I thought of how far I have come, especially being an essential healthcare worker and full-time student during a pandemic. I believe this membership will open doors to new resources and opportunities that will help me to achieve my future goals as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
